Unhynged Cadeau Wins Wire-to-Wire at Hoosier Park!
ANDERSON, Ind. (October 29, 2026) — Unhynged Cadeau was the 1.10-1 favorite, and she went wire to wire. Leaving from post 5 in a NW4PM trot at Hoosier Park, the 3-year-old Southwind Chrome mare led at every call and won in 1:55.4, a half-length ahead of Dial Nine One One.
Driven by Wyatt Avenatti for trainer David Avenatti, Cadeau cleared to the front early and was on top by a head at the first quarter (27.1) and the half (58.3). She was still a head in front at the three-quarters (1:28.2), then held a half-length lead through the stretch and came home in 27.2. Marcus Miller and Dial Nine One One (2.20-1) chased her the whole way and finished second, with Swan’s Masterpiece (John De Long) third.
A $2 win bet on Cadeau returned $4.20, with $2.60 to place. The 5-4 exacta paid $11.00 for $2, and the $0.50 trifecta paid $25.65.
Cadeau earned $6,250, 50 percent of the $12,500 purse. She is owned and bred by Ivar Hyngstrom, by Southwind Chrome out of Shadow Copy (by Cassis).
